First Company
U.S. SafetySign and Decal’s big break came when it finally discovered it’s niche in 1988. It was an off-chance encounter that changed Randy’s small business forever.
A man with the title of “Safety Director” came into the print shop. He worked for a world-wide oil drilling company and was carrying a 10-inch by 14 inch metal sign.
He asked if Randy could print a few of the same design. That order was just for a few dozen, but has grown into over a million dollar business.
Randy still has that metal sign in his office to remind him that, “You never know where the next big opportunity is going to come from.”
In 1993 a business writer named Ray Tuttle with Tulsa’s city newspaper, The Tulsa World, published a front page story on Randy’s early days of marketing to the oil industry under a trade name of “Wild Ink Control”.
U.S. SafetySign & Decal now occupies an 8000 sq ft facility and services the top oil and gas companies in the world.
